Educate Girls - Change the World.

If you educate a woman, you educate a nation.

At Culture One, we believe in the transformative power of education and its pivotal role in creating equitable and thriving communities. This is why we are extremely proud to partner with Girl Rising, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering girls through education in some of the most impoverished and challenging communities around the world.

We are commitment to empowering girls and women globally, and building lifelong male and community allies.

The ripple effects of girls’ education are powerful, yet still 129 million girls are missing from school education, and millions more do not have access to quality education.

Barriers such as early and forced marriages, conflict and displacement, climate change, child labour and trafficking, cost, and discrimination, prevent girls from accessing their education. Girl Rising’s mission is to break down these barriers, enabling girls to unlock their true potential to transform not only their own lives, but their families, communities, and ultimately, the world.

Since its inception, Girl Rising has positively impacted the lives of over 12 million adolescents and reached more than 213,000 educators across 120 countries. They have also engaged over 3,600 parents and carers in their programmes, helping them to become advocates for their daughter’s and girls' education.

Girl Rising Programmes:

Through three key programmes, they build voice, agency, and gender-equitable attitudes worldwide:

  1. Global Education Programs: In collaboration with 40 partners, Girl Rising delivers comprehensive education programs tailored to the cultural and social contexts of each community, empowering adolescents to develop leadership skills and challenge gender norms.

  2. Girl Rising Global Education Fund: This fund invests in early stage organisations in Guatemala, India, and Kenya, scaling innovative solutions that promote girls' education and gender equity.

  3. Storytelling: At the heart of their mission, storytelling is used as a powerful tool to foster understanding and empathy. Through films, media, and other creative content, Girl Rising introduces critical conversations on rights, equity, and the value of education. These stories engage educators, parents, and communities, making them active participants and allies in advocating for girls' education and dismantling harmful gender norms.

By integrating these approaches, Girl Rising successfully drives increased school enrollment for girls, reduces child marriage rates, and fosters greater community engagement, showcasing the transformative power of education
